Product Overview
The Acoustic Energy AE309 is a slim, high-performance floorstanding loudspeaker designed for both dedicated stereo listening and larger home audio systems. Each speaker uses a 2.5-way driver configuration, with two 130 mm ceramic/aluminium sandwich-cone mid/bass drivers and a 28 mm aluminium dome tweeter. The tweeter incorporates Acoustic Energy's Wide Dispersion Technology waveguide, designed to provide controlled dispersion and a wider listening sweet spot. The cabinet uses an 18 mm high-density MDF construction with internal bracing and mass loading. A rear slot-shaped duct port is used to augment bass output while reducing air turbulence. The speakers are finished in piano gloss white with removable magnetic cloth grilles. The supplied pair has been tested and is confirmed working.
