Product Overview
Advance Acoustic MAP-102 Bi-Mode High Bias Integrated Stereo Amplifier
The Advance Acoustic MAP-102 is a high-fidelity integrated stereo amplifier from Advance Acoustic's Black Line series. The unit combines a conventional integrated amplifier design with a selectable High Bias mode, allowing operation in a Class A-like mode at lower output levels before transitioning to Class AB operation at higher power. The front panel identifies the unit as a Bi-mode high bias integrated amplifier. The MAP-102 provides a wide range of analogue source connections, including dedicated CD, Tuner, AUX1-AUX4, Phono and PC2 inputs, along with Pre Out, Amp In and Pre Out 2 connections on the rear panel. It also includes speaker A/B selection, tone controls, headphone connectivity and a front-mounted USB input for MP3 playback. The amplifier is rated at 2 × 80 W into 8 ohms, with published specifications also listing 2 × 100 W into 4 ohms. The amplifier has a stated frequency response of 10 Hz–65 kHz (-3 dB) and a maximum power consumption of under 400 W.
