Product Overview

The Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB BK IND is a fully manual direct-drive turntable designed for listeners who want conventional analog vinyl playback alongside convenient computer connectivity. It is an updated design derived from Audio-Technica’s AT-LP120-USB platform, incorporating a DC servo direct-drive motor, adjustable dynamic anti-skate and a selectable built-in phono preamplifier.

The turntable operates at 33-1/3, 45 and 78 RPM, making it suitable for a broad range of vinyl formats. Its die-cast aluminum platter is paired with a felt mat, while the balanced S-shaped tonearm uses a hydraulically damped lift mechanism and lockable arm rest. The detachable AT-HS6 headshell is supplied with an AT-VM95E Dual Magnet moving-magnet cartridge featuring a 0.3 × 0.7 mil bonded elliptical stylus. For conventional Hi-Fi systems, the switchable phono preamplifier provides either phono-level or line-level output.

The turntable can therefore be connected to an amplifier with a dedicated phono input or directly to a suitable line-level input. USB connectivity provides 16-bit/44.1 kHz or 48 kHz digital conversion for transferring vinyl recordings to a computer. The AT-LP120XUSB is particularly appealing to vinyl enthusiasts because it combines manual turntable operation and adjustable tonearm controls with modern digital connectivity. The VM95E cartridge also belongs to Audio-Technica's VM95 family, allowing replacement with other compatible VM95-series styli as required.
