The TASCAM Porta 02 mkII Ministudio is a compact analog cassette-based multitrack recorder designed for musicians, songwriters and home recording applications. At its core is a 4-track, 4-channel cassette recorder operating at the industry-standard tape speed of 4.76 cm/s. The integrated mixer provides two MIC/LINE input channels, each with trim and input level control, while the four track channels provide individual level and pan controls. The Porta 02 mkII supports recording of up to two tracks simultaneously, making it possible to record a stereo source or two separate inputs at the same time before adding additional overdubs. The control surface includes dedicated RECORD, PLAY, REW, F FWD, STOP and PAUSE transport buttons. Four-stage LED meters provide visual monitoring of recording levels, while a headphone output with dedicated level control allows the user to monitor the recording. The rear panel of the photographed unit clearly shows the DC IN 12V socket and stereo RCA LINE OUT connections. The unit also has a dedicated headphone connection and a MONO switch. The unit displays moderate cosmetic wear consistent with age and previous use. Visible observations:
